Community Partnership Opportunity with The Link School

Visionscapes Partners with The Link School to Give Back Through Landscaping

At Visionscapes, we believe landscaping is about more than creating beautiful outdoor spaces—it is about strengthening the communities we serve. This fall, we were proud to partner with The Link School in Acworth, Georgia, by donating shrubs to support a meaningful campus improvement project led by parents, staff, and volunteers.

A Community Connection That Matters

We were first introduced to The Link School through a heartfelt outreach from Matthew Scott at Site Solutions for an upcoming school service workday. The Link School is a small private school serving students who have faced challenges in traditional public school settings. Despite its size, the school provides a supportive, structured, and nurturing environment that helps students grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

The request centered on enhancing the school’s outdoor space—specifically, screening two existing chicken coops with plant material. The goal was to improve both the aesthetics and functionality of the area for students and animals alike, while also creating a more welcoming campus environment.

How Visionscapes Contributed

After learning more about the school’s mission and the scope of the project, Visionscapes was pleased to contribute by donating shrubs to support the planting plan. These plants will provide natural screening, visual interest, and long-term landscape value for the campus.

The service workday itself was a true community effort. Parents volunteered their time and tools, and the project was thoughtfully planned to ensure the plantings would thrive and serve the school well into the future. We are proud to have played a role in supporting that collective effort.

Landscaping with Purpose

Landscaping has the power to transform spaces, but it can also create opportunities for learning, responsibility, and connection—especially in school environments.
